With an aim to build the Hindi cluster of the News18 Network as the most influential voice across the key markets, Prabal Pratap Singh has been elevated to Group Editor, Hindi Cluster. Singh has been instrumental in reshaping News18 India which has disrupted the industry. In his new role, he will lead the editorial strategy across all the Hindi news channels to deliver seamless yet distinct experiences across the channels based on a deep understanding of the brand to elevate the offerings to the viewers.
According to the BARC Ratings, DD India has moved to the second position in the English news genre
DD India has moved to the second position in the English news genre, as per BARC India ratings for week 25. Times Now has slipped to the second position. India Today Television and CNN-News18 have swapped positions while Republic TV retained its top position. In Hindi news genre, Republic Bharat has moved out of the top 5 table in urban + rural HSM. It has been replaced by ABP News at the fifth position while Zee News has jumped to the fourth spot. The top three positions remained unchanged. In urban HSM, the top four remained unchanged while ABP News replaced Republic Bharat at the fifth position.

Fever FM continues to hold the top spot in Mumbai and Delhi, while Radio City retains its lead in Bangalore
Fever FM led in Mumbai with a 17.9 per cent share in a universe of 12.2 million listeners. Radio Mirchi followed with 12.7 percent share, while Radio City held a 12.2 per cent share. Night, followed by mid-morning and afternoon time-bands observed the highest listenership on total radio. In Delhi, Fever also took the leadership position with a 19.5 per cent share in a universe of 16.5 million listeners. This was followed by Radio City with 13.7 per cent, while Radio Nasha took the third spot with a 12.7 per cent share. Last week's third-place holder, Radio Mirch, slipped to the fourth spot with 11.8 per cent share.

Star India’s Malayalam entertainment channel Asianet has announced changes in telecast time of it popular shows in during weekdays and weekends. As per the restructured fixed point chart (FPC) of Asianet, its popular serials “KannanteRadha” will be telecast from 5.30 pm onwards, “Swami Ayyappan” at 6 pm “Vanampady” from 8 pm to 8.45 pm and “Kasturiman” from 8.45 pm to 9.30 pm on every Monday to Friday. In addition, “Seethakalayam” will airat 9.30 pm on every Monday to Friday and on Saturdays the same will be aired at 9 pm. “Badai Bungalow” hits the audience on Saturdays at 9.30pm.

Thanks to an agreement between BBC News and Yahoo Hong Kong, the BBC News Chinese content will be published as top stories on the Yahoo site. The Yahoo Hong Kong homepage now features a BBC News Chinese index. Business Development Director, BBC World Service, Simon Kendall, says: “This is a great development for the BBC in Hong Kong where our news services in English, Cantonese and Mandarin reach a million people weekly. We have a strong and loyal audience on the audio platform, and with this partnership we will look to further enhance our engagement with digital audiences.”

Prior to joining the organisation, he worked with ETV Bharat as editor for five Hindi news channels.Gautam has been in the TV news industry for two decades. He commenced his career in 2001 at Zee Media as principal correspondent and anchor. After almost three years of his stint with the organisation, he made a move in 2005 as deputy editor senior anchor at Sahara Samay.After almost a decade, in 2015, he joined Broadcast Initiatives Ltd—HDIL as deputy editor senior anchor.
Network18 Media & Investments has entered into a term sheet to sell its shareholding in NW18 HSN Holdings Plc
Network18 Media & Investments has announced that it has entered into a term sheet to sell its shareholding in NW18 HSN Holdings Plc. (HSN Cyprus). Pursuant to the completion of the transaction, HSN Cyprus would cease to be an associate of the Company. In its BSE filing, the company also informed that it has sold 13,20,481 shares in Television Home Shopping Network Limited formerly known as TV18 Home Shopping Network Limited. Earlier, Network18 along with other investors have sold a majority stake in its TV home shopping channel business HomeShop18 to SkyBlue Buildwell. The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. The new investor holds 82.6% stake in HomeShop18.

He has also held the position as Editor-Output, Zee Media from July 2017 to April 2018. Rai has worked with several other media companies, including News 24, Sahara Samay and ETV UP. Rai began his career with All India Radio in 1994 and has graduated from Allahabad University.
